Meet Harry
Our son Harry is the inspiration behind Harry’s Voice. Throughout his life, Harry has communicated with us through nonverbal means. When he is hungry, he holds our hand and takes us to the kitchen. When he’s tired, he’ll walk us back to his room. He even uses a couple of signs and a handful of words for certain scenarios. However, those methods of communicating don’t always work with people who don’t know him as well. That’s where his AAC comes in.
Since getting his AAC, Harry is able to introduce himself to new people, better communicate his needs, and overcome language barriers with new people.
The struggles in getting his first AAC led to us creating Harry’s Voice. First, we struggled to get return calls from providers. Then, when we finally got a device, we received a bill for $3,559. We knew there had to be a better way.
